When I heard that Mike
and Laurie were breeding Andy (son of TR CH TopperLyn
D'Artagnan) I realized
this would be a Great Grandpup of NBOB GRCH TAN Beau de
l'Hospitalier. I couldn't resist the opportunity to have a 4th
generation of my line. So in mid December I drove to Dillon,
MT and picked up "Leo." So far he is
living up to his
namesake [NBOB GRCHF GRCH TopperLyn Gallant Bodacious SH] and
carrying on the heritage of his Grandfather and Great Grandfather by
retrieving a live pigeon at 7 weeks of age; pointing solid at 9
weeks; and retrieving a chukar at 12 weeks. I can't wait until
spring an we can see what he thinks of the water. (Especially
since his father's "bird of choice" is DUCKS. Mike says he has
shot more geese over Andy than he has pheasants.) Hmmmmmm!
